From our centrally located accommodation in the valley of the Pinhão river, various activities can be undertaken in the heart of the port region.
From Provesende you can walk straight into the vineyards. You can walk to Pinhão and visit there a wine or port house. A walk around Provesende is also possible. On the way you visit a quinta and taste their wines. On an E-bike you can get a little further and enjoy the beautiful views overlooking the vineyards of the Douro River valley.

North of Bragança you will find the authentic mountain village of Montesinho, located in the middle of the unspoiled nature park '' Parque Montesinho ''. A few years ago, Sally and Robert van der Vliet restored A Lagosta Perdida, (the lost lobster) in a fantastic way, with an eye for comfort and character. You will stay in one of the beautiful, comfortably furnished en-suite bedrooms. You can use the heated swimming pool (open from April - November), table tennis, mountain bikes and the baby grand piano.

Quinta dos Moinhos is located in the garden of Portugal, the green province of Minho. You will stay in one of the attractive holiday homes located in the authentic vineyard, with the standard grapes so well known for this region. From the quinta you will get to know the World Heritage cities of Porto and Guimarães, but Amarante and Braga are also very worthwhile. Hiking opportunities are also plentiful here, in the Serra do Alvão, Serra da Cabreira or the more famous National Parque do Peneda da Gêres. After all these activities, the salt water pool will provide cooling!
In the middle of the port region with its traditional terrace construction, you will stay in Provesende, a nice, old, protected wine village. The area invites to walks through the vineyards, a scenic train ride along the Douro or a boat trip. Also visit Vila Real with the Palacio de Mateus or the station of Pinhão, with its famous tile pictures. After an invigorating dip in the clear waters of the Pinhão River, a glass of port or a glass of wine from one of the local producers tastes even better.
